Two more days to go... Jane Tryon from www.focalpointhome.com.au and I are thrilled to be going to www.lifeinstyle.com.au. We are excited about our new venture together with these cushions which have been inspired by our outings around where we live. The Australian bush is like being in "Wonderland" sometimes! The cushions are vibrant and colourful and divine!! They have the fouta fabric on the back. Here are some photos which we shot on Friday up at Pretty Beach House. The brochure looks great and will post it up soon.

Those who know me know how much I would rather be outside than in!!! Sitting in front of the computer just isn't my thing, but I realise I have to do this now. All of my work is sitting inside this little rectangular box saying "let me out". Anyway I am going to try to blog more, add my new work to my facebook page more and also update my website!!! I am hopeless, but this is the new me, and here goes. I am going to start with some photos of my local area, and where I love to ride my mountain bike. This area fills me with a sense of peace. It is surrounded by the amazing Angophora Tree, and also the amazing banksia and flowering gum. There is a lot of Aboriginal history here, (Darkinjung), and we come across the carvings in the rocks quite frequently. The trees are also old and seem to have something to say. I love, love, love it. I have taken some beautiful family snaps in these places too... which I will add very soon. I promise.

Gracie - portrait in the flowers

I have loved these flowers since I moved here. I know the yellow flowers are weeds, but they look so colourful and sunny. Down in the Bouddi National Park there are also Flannel Flowers in abundance. I took Gracie and her mum down there and we took some beautiful photos. You can see more of these on my facebook page. I am so incredibly inspired by where I live. I am about to start a project. I just have to share...!!!

Yoga Aid

Keeping in rhythm to the sound of the drums...

I attend a Yoga school in Terrigal called www.yogaways.com.au. I feel that whenever I leave this yoga school after doing a class, I am taller and have a more positive outlook to my day to day life. I feel I can breath again. This school is owned by a special lady called Mardi Bell. There are three other women who teach there whom I know. Simone, an old flatmate from 20 years ago when I lived in Potts Point NSW, when I was a carefree and crazy art student. Simone is now a yoga teacher and artist. What a great surprise when I walked in and she was there. Zoe Braithwaite whose son goes to the same school as my two lovelies, is an amazing performer and yoga teacher specialising in childrens yoga. This is her website. www.outrageousentertainment.com.au. And Jodi, who when I started going to this school three years ago made me feel so welcome and special. They attended this worldwide charity event called Yoga Aid. www.yogaaid.com. I took myself down to Terrigal Beach last Sunday and took some happy snaps. Such a great way to start the day. Loved it. Wish I could have stayed longer, but had to leave to take my lovelies to nippers.

How could I write about the Bouddi Gallery and forget to mention that my dear friend Jane also creates the loveliest flower arrangements. She is very clever and makes everything seem just a little bit brighter after blessing us with her presence!! I followed her up to Pretty Beach House (www.prettybeachhouse.com.au) the other day and took some photos of her latest arrangement there. I am loving the little gallery down the road. It is called Bouddi Gallery and is situated in Hardy's Bay, NSW. It is a blend of Aboriginal and Tunisian art and homewares. The textures, colours and patterns work really well together, as you can see...

This is the walk we did along the Bouddi National Park coastline the other day. (Maitland Bay to Putty Beach). I was leaning on the railing right next to this amazing Diamond Python. The second huge snake this week I have seen. The other one was in my friends garden, climbing a tree, heading for a nest with eggs. These snakes are not dangerous and oh so magnificent...

A visit from my lovely and dearest friend in Sydney with her three children, as well as my two, plus my daughters friend and also my niece and nephew created a crazy and colourful few days. I do love having loads of kids around. It felt like Christmas. Lots of chatter, silliness, fun, laughter and an odd challenging moment made it all very memorable...
